Yellow Tree Peony with Ranunculus in Small Milk Bottle or Mansion Jar
3 Yellow Tree Peonies
5 Mini Ranunculus in yellow, orange and burgundy
3 Stems of Rose scented Geranium Leaves
3 Stems of Boston Fern
3 Stems Nasturtium
1 Small glass milk bottle or mansion jar
Fill the container with cool water and grid the top of container with clear florist tape or scotch tape. Remove all leaves that will be below water and cut all stems at a sharp angle before inserting into container.
Start by cutting Boston Fern to 10" from tip and then removing 2" of leaves from the bottom. Insert Fern securely into grid at center of container and gently fan out Boston Fern on three sides. Insert the Rose Geranium stems around the Boston Fern and gently fan out on three sides. Insert Yellow Tree Peonies equally spaced, into the Boston Fern and Rose Geranium. Place the Nasturtium stems at a right angle between each Yellow Tree Peony making sure the Nasturtiums are extending beyond the Peonies. Finish off with the Mini Ranunculus inserted beyond the Peonies at the middle and top of arrangement, creating a balanced and natural effect. We are looking for a "just picked" floral styling. I like to call it Wild-Sophistication...perfect description for the trending now floral designs of NYC.
If possible refrigerate for one hour or place in a cool place for a fresh appearance.
Hint: I put all my cut flowers into the frig when I am not at home or at night before bedtime. This simple trick makes sense, for my flowers last up to twice as long...giving me twice as much happiness.
