Naturally-Lux Echeveria Succulents
February 2, 2015
Chestnut and Vine
With winter weather upon us here in NYC and clients looking for new and interesting floral products, beautiful echeverias succulents are the cutting edge floral material with natural-lux appearance in floral design today.
I have been working with echeveria for many years, first being introduced to them in my daughter’s garden in Los Angeles, California. It was love at first sight. The colors run from glossy emerald green to pale grey pink - and an amazing burgundy echeveria with ruffed edges just made me giggle with pure delight.

Echeverias succulents with their round open blossom shapes are perfect for bridal bouquets and modern arrangements with an element of surprise. And for the modern lifestyle, echeveria succulents are an amazing natural accent to any home. The NY Floral Market is just busting with numerous varieties of these succulents in vivid colors and remarkable textures making for floral inspiration that can easily be turned into floral art.
The eco friendly aspect of echeverias with the use of little or no water, makes these beauties a floral designer’s dream come true as interior design accents. These succulents can be placed on glass block, sand or rocks for months while keeping their fresh and stylish appearance. Echeveria floral styling is playful, lush and eco-chic. Let your imagination and creative muse have fun with these treasures of nature.
Yours in beauty,

Echeveria Floral Recipe
The clean line of a glass cube vase lined with a glossy green Ti Leaf filled with dark velvety burgundy Black Pearl Roses, purple -green Mini Kale, grayish pink Ecvheveria, Lady Slipper Orchid, Leucadendron, Bush Ivy with black berries and Green Trick Dianthus offers a sense of fresh elegance with stylish visual impact for home or events. As we know, it is all in the details, so lets place smoky grey glass beads with a small echeverial placed resting on top and silver mercury votive candles around this succulent design for a modern-lux statement.

Wire the bottom of echeveria with a 16 gauge floral wire and tape wire. Or place firmly on the head of a long green floral pick and tape to pick.
Floral arrangements and bouquets look best with the use of one to five small echeverias or one large echeveria placed slightly off-center at the bottom of an arrangement.
